Our menus are full of classic and modern pub food, made with love and care and the best local ingredients.
From our famous burgers and delicious steaks, cooked to order, and from trawler-fresh seafood to vegetarian dishes made with the best the Garden of England has to offer, and with a separate menu for children, we cater for all tastes.
Our whole menu is served all day, every day. We also have a lunch menu (not available Sundays or Bank Holidays).

House Pâté
We love our freshly made chicken liver pâté which we serve with hot toasted granary bread, a spoon of our famous house chutney & a salad garnish

MAINS
Slow Roasted Belly of Pork
This wonderfully comforting, rustic dish is roasted at 120 degrees for 4-5 hours , after being spread with a paste of fresh rosemary, garlic and olive oil, served with mash potato, bacon & onion savoy cabbage, cauliflower cheese purée, salted crackling & a red wine jus reduction.

28-35 Day Dry-Aged Ribeye Steak (£4 supplement)
This most popular, thick cut from the best aged beef makes a real tender, succulent steak with loads of flavour (this steak is trimmed quite lean, with the exception of the usual amount of fat which we leave , its characteristic of this cut and adds dramatically to the flavour). Cooked to your liking, served with a Portobello mushroom, beer battered onion rings, grilled tomato and our sea salted house chips or creamed mash.

We are not sorry, it had to be done! So we have chosen the best, meaty, Scottish breaded scampi we could find! We serve a large portion with buttered garden peas, plenty of sea salted house chips, our own very caper-rich tartare sauce & a whole dressed side salad of mixed leaves with lemon dressing

We are very proud of our burgers, which are sear-grilled and served very juicy in a warm toasted bun with a slice of mature cheddar, sliced beef tomato, sliced red onion, iceberg lettuce and a spoonful of our house special mayo & gherkin relish with our beer battered onion rings, a pot of coleslaw and a real mob of well-cooked sea salted house chips on the side!

Chicken Enchilada
A large soft spinach tortilla, coated with a smokey chipotle sauce, then filled with tender chicken breast strips, coated in enchilada sauce of cumin, fresh coriander, tomato and sweetcorn, then baked with more chipotle sauce and melted cheese, served with corn chips, sour cream and a small side salad of mixed leaves with lemon dressing.

Crocker
Our justly famous and highly demanded house chilli is made with a lot of pride and care. The prime beef with beans, tomato, cumin, cilantro (both dry and fresh), chipotle and fresh chillies, sweet Spanish onions and garlic, is slowly cooked in The oven and continuously skimmed to keep it rich and tender. We serve this in a cast iron kettle with melted cheese on top of our house rice. Accompanied by a basket of soft rolling tortillas, a dish of guacamole, a pot of sour cream, a pot of lettuce and onion with dressed pumpkin seeds and a stack of corn chips.

A Thai-influenced burger with fresh lemongrass and lime leaf, mixed vegetables, coriander and chilli, coated in a black onion, sesame and cumin seed crumb containing crunchy red lentils.
